Dennis A. Pessis, MD, is a professor of urology at Rush University Medical Center. Pessis has more than 30 years experience in treating urological conditions. His areas of clinical expertise are prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), bladder cancer, erectile dysfunction, male infertility, kidney cancer, kidney stones, testicular cancer, male urinary incontinence, vasectomy and vasectomy reversal. Pessis’ research interests involve prostate cancer and bladder cancer. He has been the principle investigator on many clinical trials. He has more than 20 publications and 100 presentations that span the full spectrum of urological disorders and diseases.
He is the immediate past president of the American Urological Association. His active leadership in professional organizations has helped keep Pessis at the forefront of advanced treatment modalities, which he brings to his patients every day. He is also a member of the Illinois State Medical Society, Illinois Urological Society, Chicago Medical Society, North Central Section of the American Urological Association, Chicago Urological Association, American Fertility Society, New York Academy of Science, American Society of Clinical Urologists, American College of Surgeons and the Society of University Urologists.
