Clinical Trial Title

A study examining the application of a novel synbiotic to modulate the human gut microbiota and improve health in obese adults.



Clinical Trial Protocol Description

The purpose of this study is to develop a novel dietary strategy by which the human gut microbiota can be successfully modulated to treat obesity and related metabolic disorders. We expect to recruit 180 people for this study. If you are enrolled in the study, you will be compensated for your participation.



Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are a healthy, clinically obese individual (BMI of 30-40 kg/m2)
  • Are between 18 and 60 years of age
  • Have no chronic diseases (e.g. heart disease, diabetes)
