With 30 years of experience in diabetes education, I provide diabetes self-management education for inpatients admitted to the medical units at Rush University Medical Center, their families and Rush University staff. This includes, but is not limited to, direct patient and family education, collaboration with and mentoring of both nursing and medical staff and other health care professionals, inpatient insulin management and discharge planning for diabetes self-care at home.
