Ulku Cenk Turba, MD, is an associate professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology at Rush University Medical Center. Turba is an assistant medical director of interventional radiology. Turba is also overseeing the quality assurance program to improve patient safety and to deliver the best health care to the patients in vascular and nonvascular interventional radiology.
He received his medical degree from the Gulhane Medical School in 1992 in Ankara, Turkey. After completing his residency program in diagnostic radiology in 1998, he worked as radiologist in Turkey until 2002. Turba came to the United States to further specialize in radiology in 2002. He completed interventional radiology fellowship program at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2003. He also completed neuroradiology and nuclear radiology fellowship programs at Emory University and the University of Virginia in 2004 and 2005. Turba received attending privileges and faculty position at the University of Virginia in 2005 in interventional radiology. In 2012, Turba was promoted to associate professor at the University of Virginia. Turba is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology.
