Ryan Braun, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Rush University Medical Center. He is director of body MRI imaging.
Braun studied biochemistry at the University of Notre Dame, graduating with an honors B.S. degree. He received a medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin in 2000. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at University of Illinois in Peoria in 2005 and served as a resident delegate to the American College of Radiology. After a fellowship in MRI and body imaging at Rush, he joined the faculty at Rush in 2006.
Braun’s primary area of clinical expertise is MRI, including musculoskeletal and body imaging. His research interests include prostate imaging and cardiac MRI. He also has expertise in cardiac CT and PET imaging, as well as ultrasound-guided procedures.
Braun was elected chief resident during his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Illinois.
