John Meyer, DO, received his degree in medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. After completing his diagnostic radiology residency training at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in 2005, he completed a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the University of Chicago Hospital. He has been at Rush University since 2006.
Meyer’s primary specialty is musculoskeletal radiology. He is an expert in the radiological evaluation of bone and soft tissue tumors, both benign and malignant. His interests also include all aspects of musculoskeletal radiography, MRI and CT, particularly MRI and CT arthrography. Meyer has extensive training in bone and soft tissue sarcoma biopsy as well as experience in RF ablation of bone tumors. He also maintains an active role in general body CT and radiography within the department.
Meyer is the assistant residency program director. He is also currently involved in three research projects with Rush University. Meyer was voted Fellow of the Year at the University of Chicago.
