Meri Chen, MD, is an assistant professor at Rush University Medical Center in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology. She has been the director of the Body Imaging Fellowship Program at Rush since 2006. Chen is involved in the training program of radiology residents and fellows.
She received a combined BS/MD degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1990. She completed her residency in diagnostic radiology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago in 1994 and subsequently completed a body imaging (MRI/CT/US) fellowship at Rush in 1995.
Chen has expertise in ultrasound, CT and MRI. This includes hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal and genitourinary imaging, vascular, obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound, and thoracic imaging. She also routinely performs image-guided procedures.
