Miral Jhaveri, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and the Section of Neuroradiology at Rush University Medical Center.
He received an MBBS degree from Bombay University in 1992 and a medical degree in 1995. He practiced as consultant radiologist in Mumbai from 1995 to 2002. He completed a two-year fellowship in neuroradiology at Rush University Medical Center and stayed on as a faculty member.
Jhaveri’s primary specialty is neuroradiology, especially head and neck imaging. His interests also include advanced tumor and stroke imaging. He conducts regular conferences for radiology, neurology, neurosurgery and otolaryngology residents.
Diagnostic radiology residents gave Jhaveri te Teacher of the Year award in 2007. He has written case reports, peer-reviewed papers and book chapters and collaborated with clinical services on research publications. He has mentored residents preparing educational exhibits for presentation at national meetings, particularly RSNA.
