James A. Young, MD, chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rush University Medical Center, is an internationally recognized expert in the treatment of brain injuries.
At Rehab Associates of Chicago, Young leads a team of rehabilitation specialists in creating a treatment plan designed to treat the whole patient.
The board-certified physiatrist also recognizes the important role family members play in the rehabilitation process. He lends his expertise to the Family Information Group, a weekly support group for families of patients with a variety of neurosurgical medical problems.
Young is also an honorary member of the Brain Injury Association of Illinois.
When he is not seeing patients, Young may be playing golf, SCUBA diving, or catching the latest action from behind a lens.
