Stress, Coping and Chronic Pain



Clinical Trial Protocol Description

This study investigates whether stressful events and how people deal with these events can influence their low back pain. In this study, you will perform a demanding computer task with another study participant, you may or may not talk about the task, and then you will perform tasks involving simple movements (bending, sitting). You will receive compensation.



Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Have had low back pain for at least six months
  • Are 18-65 years of age

You will be excluded from this study if you:

  • Have cancer or rheumatoid arthritis
  • Have other severe medical or psychiatric disorders
