Aspiritech is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide a path for high-functioning individuals on the autism spectrum to realize their potential through gainful employment. They harness individuals' unique abilities, includng attention to detail, precision, an affinity for repetitive tasks, outstanding technology skills, to provide competitively priced software testing services. They achieve this by providing their testers a combination of intensive training, structure, and support to mitigate potential workplace challenges. They do not require prior knowledge or job experience of software programming and/or testing for software testers. Applicant must: be willing to work for at least four hours a day, five days a week; be able to commute to Aspiritech's office in HIghland Park or client sites (northern Chicago area); and be diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome or high-functioning autism.

Experiential on-land and on-line training for transitioning teens through adults with disabilities to build essential skills for the workplace and for living more independently in today’s world. No Boundaries combines: structured classroom instruction, experiential learning, an integrated workplace and community setting, mentor support, and internship and work opportunities at social enterprises (jjslist.com–technology, communications and marketing; Planet Access Store-retail; Planet Access Warehouse-warehouse and order fulfillment; Keystone Alliance-office administration; Disability Awareness Players-training businesses in disability awareness; other community-based businesses).
Ages: 18 and up.
Cost: $19 (per hour) for part-time program, 9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. or 1-4 p.m.; $16 (per hour) for full-time program, 9:15 a.m.-4 p.m.

Autism is a complex disorder. Our website provides information and resources for families with a child with autism. If you feel your child is experiencing behavior and/or symptoms that may be associated with autistic spectrum disorders, please contact your pediatrician or a licensed physician.
