Winston Sequeira, MD, is the associate director of the Lupus Clinic. He is a professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Rush Medical College and serves as a senior attending physician at J. H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and Rush. Sequeira has vast clinical experience in providing care for lupus patients. He is actively included in research activities of the Rush Lupus Clinic.
Sequeira is a fellow of both the American College of Rheumatology and the American College of Physicians. He is also a member of the Chicago Rheumatism Society.
Sequeira received his medical degree from St. John's Medical College, Bangalore, India. He completed his internship and residency at Cook County Hospital and his fellowship at the University of Illinois. Sequeira has a special interest in sarcoidosis, infectious arthritis and scleroderma.
