Clinical Trails at Rush Pediatric Lower Respiratory Tract Treatrment Study
Clinical Trial Protocol ID
11013104

Clinical Trial Investigator Name
James Moy

Clinical Trial Title

APRIL-OCELOT

Clinical Trial Protocol Description

This protocol is comprised of two separate but linked clinical trials that target preschool-age children with recurrent severe episodes of lower respiratory tract symptoms. These trials come together in a combined study of two separate therapies that will be administered sequentially during respiratory tract illnesses. These trials are designed to both identify novel treatment approaches and confirm standard of care treatments (i.e., oral corticosteroids) that attenuate the severity of these episodes, thereby providing substantial benefit to this understudied and poorly managed population.

Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are 12-71 months of age
  • Have had recurrent significant wheezing within the past year
  • Are up to date with immunizations including varicella vaccine (this can be done any time before randomization)
  • Have not been hospitalized for wheezing illnesses more than once in the past year

This is a partial list of eligibility requirements. To inquire about your eligibility, please call the contact number provided. If you wish to inquire via email, please include the title of the study in your message.
