UNIDOS, Stress Reduction for Spanish-Speaking Older Adult Trauma Survivors



Clinical Trial Protocol Description

The purpose of this study is to determine whether a mindfulness and affective skills training group treatment is effective in treating stress symptoms of Spanish-speaking older adult trauma survivors. This is an eight-week educational and skills base group that focuses on effective communication, relaxation techniques, and usage of currently possessed coping skills to reduce the effects of depression and anxiety due to a past traumatic event.



Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are 60 years of age or older
  • Are Spanish speaking
  • Have residual depression or anxiety symptoms due to a trauma history
