Back-to-School Health Fair Offers Free Immunizations, Physicals for Public School Students
Free immunizations and physicals will be available at the sixth annual RU Caring Back-to-School Health Fair to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 7, at Fosco Park, 1312 South Racine, Chicago. Registration ends at 12:45 p.m.
The event is hosted by RU Caring, a community service program run by Rush University students. Co-sponsors include Alderman Bob Fioretti, the Blowitz-Ridgeway Foundation, Fosco Park, the Chicago Park District and the Chicago Department of Public Health.
Students of all ages are welcome to participate. Clinical volunteers from Rush University Medical Center will provide school physicals, vision and hearing screenings, and dental exams, and update immunizations for the start of the school year. In addition, students will be able to play games and win school supplies while supplies last.
