The patient status board in the Smith Lounge can help you monitor the progress of your loved one. Following is a list of entries that may be posted on the status board and what they mean: 

Legend for status board:

Prep arrival = Patient being prepared for procedure
Patient in OR/PR = Patient in procedure
Patient out of OR/PR = Patient out of procedure
Arrival to Recovery Phase I = Patient in recovery
Arrival to Recovery Phase II = Patient in recovery
Bypass Recovery = Patient moved to inpatient room
Discharged From Recovery PACU = Patient moved to inpatient room
Discharged From Recovery ASU = Patient discharged to home

If you need to leave the lounge while the patient is in procedure, let the receptionist know before you leave and once you have returned. This information will be useful if a member of the procedural team wants to contact you while you're away.
