The Cancer Integrative Medicine Program strives to provide services that support the mind body connection. We have recently launched two new services:
Art Therapy
Working in collaboration with the Strike at Cancer Foundation, Rush has enjoyed the benefits of having artist Jordi Padroli working with individual patients to help them draw on their inner artist. With the use of paint, she helps patients express emotions related to cancer, health and gratitude for treatment or providers during their time in the cancer center.
Gilda's Club Networking Program
In collaboration with Gilda's Club Chicago, we have developed a weekly networking/seated yoga program for women diagnosed with cancer. The program alternates weeks between seated yoga and a networking group, in a supportive and open environment where women are encouraged to network with other women who are diagnosed and on some point of the cancer journey. The program occurs every Friday between 11 a.m. and noon and is located within the cancer center.
