We recently sent an anonymous survey to our patients to receive feedback about the care they are receiving from our CIMP team. Here are some of their comments:

What are the primary reasons you are incorporating integrative medicine into your health care?

• "Due to cancer treatment, I had lost weight. I needed help on getting good nutrition.  The session was very informative. It helped me understand/clarify a few things and understand the importance of a good diet."

• "I strongly believe in Western medicine, but also recognize the benefits of other services. Eating had become very difficult and I just know nutritional counseling could help."

• "Traditional Western medicine is too narrow. Limited (in) scope to effectively address multiple post-cancer treatment challenges."

• "I am a former bone marrow transplant patient and generally don't feel well. I was looking to be a little proactive concerning this and through the Internet found your program. I chose yours over others I researched because of the Rush location and affiliation to the bone marrow center."

• "I believe in treating the whole person. Western/traditional medicine does not always address all the needs. Any tools I can use to be well, I welcome."

• "I am interested in non-traditional methods of controlling menopausal symptoms (since I am no longer able to take estrogen)."
