The Rush Preclinical Cath Lab

The Rush Preclinical Catheterization Laboratory offers the lastest technology and equipment for conducting research in a newly renovated facility:

Surgical Equipment

• GE OEC Elite 9900 C-ARM, fully motorized, with vascular upgrade. Also includes special custom profiles for cardiac, orthopedic, and spinal imaging. The C-Arm offers a fully digital image chain, with state of the art digital image enhancement, as well as digital archival capability
• Stille operating table, fully motorized, which allows the physician researcher to perform procedures efficiently with less staff and great precision
• Steris lighting
• GE Marquette Pruka MacLab 7000 Hemodynamics monitoring system
• Medtronic HemoTec ACT II unit
• HemoCue b-Hemoglobin unit
• Ohio Modulus anesthesia gas machine station with vaporizer
• Leica microscope
• Angiomat 6000 power injector
• Acuson Sequoia 512 echo machine
• GE Ultrasound machine
• Bypass machine

Supplemental Technology

• 7 flat-panel LCD monitors
• in-suite cameras for recording, broadcast and audio/microphone capabilities for 2-way secure communication between lab and an external audience
