
About Our Facility
At the Dolores Kohl Kaplan and Morris A. Kaplan Preclinical Catheterization Laboratory, physician investigators and industry sponsors can perform research studies as well as undergo training in a state-of-the-art, good laboratory practice (GLP) compliant facility. Led by renowned physicians and researchers, the laboratory offers all the benefits of a contract research organization (CRO) within an academic setting, such as: rigorous record keeping and data maintenance; full standardization of forms, procedures and templates; and an experienced team of scientific, technical and veterinary staff onsite.
The only laboratory of its kind in the Midwest, the Rush Preclinical Catheterization Laboratory has physicians available onsite to offer both scientific and clinical advice.

Services Available
The Rush Preclinical Catheterization Laboratory can be contracted for either GLP or non-GLP studies and physician trainings. Studies performed under GLP compliance will be done in full accordance of the FDA’s GLP standards, which allows for true translational research. All aspects of our GLP studies are fully monitored and standardized, according to templates and standardized operating procedures including animal husbandry and study parameters.
