RUSH offers customized services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Exceptional services are needed to make each visit the most positive in patient and out patient experience possible.

We recognize that each patient may have an individual request for a service that would make their experience at RUSH as smooth as possible. We know that coming to the hospital can be a stressful and overwhelming experience. With this in mind, we offer pre-operative tours of the surgery center and other treatment areas to help patients and families anticipate and prepare for their visit.

In the out-patient setting, perhaps a first or last appointment of the day would be helpful to the patient or caregiver, or limiting the amount of time that the patient will be in the waiting room.
