An in-depth assessment of a child's eating patterns which can include evaluation of their oral motor structure, oral motor skills (swallowing, chewing, jaw/tongue control and mobility), respiratory patterns, sensory processing and nutrition (child's current diet). A parent interview and a verbal summary of findings and recommendations are part of the evaluation. Requires three-three 1/2 clinical hours divided over two sessions.
Ages: 0-14.
Cost: $250 (complete diagnostic evaluation).
Cost: $145-$170 (50-minute therapy session).

Provides home-based pediatric feeding therapy services in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Free, no obligation, in- home feeding therapy consultation provided by expert therapist. Chicago Speech Therapy is proficient in various methods of feeding therapy such as food chaining and SOS. Their team is trained in behavioral, sensory, and oral motor aspects of feeding.
