Meditation and behavior therapy for insomnia
The purpose of this study is to investigate a new approach for improving sleep and daytime functioning in individuals who suffer from insomnia. This approach uses self-regulating techniques designed to promote relaxation, improve stress management, and manage negative moods. No drugs or medication are used in this approach.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

Are between 18 and 65 years of age

Have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep

Can participate in the total length of the intervention, which is approximately 20 weeks
You will be excluded from this study if you:

Have unstable or poorly controlled medical conditions

Are using medications for sleep and are unable to discontinue the medication for the duration of the study

Have another sleep disorder

Experience current mood disorders
-
Are a rotating or night-shift worker

Are not proficient in English
