Rush University Medical Center offers patients access to highly trained physicians who provide preventive, diagnostic and treatment services, as well as genetic testing, for breast cancer. Approximately one in eight women will develop breast cancer during her lifetime. Breast Imaging Center

Genetic Testing & Counseling

The Rush Inherited Susceptibility to Cancer Center, counsels individuals on their personal and family risks for developing breast cancer through checking for genetic mutations (BRCA1, BRCA2, pTEN and Li Fraumeni, among others), and provides information on prevention and early detection. For more information, see the Rush Inherited Susceptibility to Cancer Center or call (312) 563-2361.

Medical Oncologists

Coleman Foundation Comprehensive Breast Center

The Coleman Foundation Comprehensive Breast Center offers patients the opportunity to have breast abnormalities reviewed and evaluated in a comprehensive, multidisciplinary setting. In one appointment, a patient is able to meet with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgeons and, after discussion with the patient herself and her family and/or friends, be presented with a treatment plan agreed upon by all. This plan can then be implemented at Rush or provided to a referring physician.
