The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Pychiatry (AACAP) is dedicated to treating and improving the qualify of life for children, adolescents and families suffering from mental, behavioral or developmental disorders. The AACAP developed its "Facts for Families" to provide concise and up-to-date information on issues that affect children, teenagers and their families. The AACAP provides this important information as a public service and has produced the information in English and in Spanish. For more information about autism, Asperger's disorder and other pervasive developmental disorders, use the “Search Facts for Families” feature at the bottom of the page on the "Facts for Families" section of AACAP's Web site, and type in keywords to search for your topic of interest.
The Autism Resource Center's referral and resource list is not an all-inclusive list and is subject to change. Each day the Autism Resource Center's team will be adding new resources and building to our Web site. If you have trouble finding a referral within your area, we encourage you to call (312) 563-2272 for further information. We hope that you visit our Web site again for any future referrals.
