Marshall D. Goldin, MD, is associate director of the Section of Adult Cardiac Surgery at Rush University Medical Center. Goldin received his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He later completed an internship and residency in surgery, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular-thoracic surgery, at Rush University Medical Center. Goldin is board-certified in surgery and thoracic surgery, with a special qualifications certification in general vascular surgery.
In addition to Rush, Goldin has held clinical and teaching positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital in Downer’s Grove, Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, among other academic and community hospitals in the Chicago area.
Goldin specializes in complex aortic and valvular heart disease. He is a fellow of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, the American College of Chest Physicians and the International Society for Cardiovascular Surgery, among other professional organizations. During his more than four decades in the field, he has authored or coauthored numerous original articles, editorials and abstracts, and has presented widely at conferences around the country.
