Anthony W. Kim, MD, is an assistant attending surgeon and assistant professor in the Department of Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center.
Dr. Kim received his medical degree from Rush Medical College. He then completed his internship, general surgery residency and cardiothoracic surgery residency in the integrated training program at Rush and John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, in which he won numerous awards.
Board certified in thoracic surgery, Dr. Kim has authored or co-authored many publications in his field. He specializes in minimally invasive thoracic surgery, video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) lobectomy, laparascopic myotomy, laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair, thoracoscopic hyperhidrosis surgery, lung cancer surgery, esophageal cancer surgery and tracheal surgery.
