The Autism Spectrum Disorders Medication Clinic provides outpatient care for children with diagnoses of autistic disorder, Asperger's disorder, Rett's syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder or pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified. The focus of the clinic is evidence-based psychopharmacological management as a part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Children are referred to the clinic after they have had an initial psychiatric evaluation at Rush.

Autism is a complex disorder. Our Web site provides information and resources for families with a child with autism. If you feel your child is experiencing behavior and/or symptoms that may be associated with autistic spectrum disorders, please contact your pediatrician or a licensed physician. A comprehensive evaluation may be needed from a psychologist, neurologist, psychiatrist, speech therapist and other professionals.
