Complete an Online Colon Cancer Screening.

Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death in the United States, but it does not have to be. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, if every individual aged 50 or older had a regular screening test, at least one-third of deaths from this cancer could be avoided. 

Both men and women can get colon cancer, and the risk increases with age. Colorectal cancer is most often found in people aged 50 or older. You may be at increased risk for colorectal cancer if:

• You or a close relative have had colorectal polyps or colorectal cancer
• You have inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's or ulcerative colitis)

Types of Screening Tests

There are several different types of tests to screen for colon cancer.  It is important you speak with your physician about which test or tests are right for you and how often you should be tested.

• Fecal occult blood test or stool test
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• Double contrast barium enema
