Generalized Anxiety Disorder

This is an 8-week study of an investigational drug for the treatment of anxiety.  Study visits are weekly for 2 weeks, then every 2 weeks until the end of the study.  There will also be a follow-up phone call 4 weeks after the final study visit.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

• Are 18 years of age or older
• Have a primary diagnosis of anxiety
• Are able to understand and comply with study visits and other requirements

You will be excluded from this study if you:

• Have certain other psychiatric disorders
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have received ECT within the past 6 months
• Have certain other medical conditions that are not stable
