| | | Claudia G. Gidea, MD | | Claudia G. Gidea, MD is assistant professor of medicine in the Section of Cardiology at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL. Gidea completed her cardiology fellowship at University of Wisconsin at Madison and at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago, IL. She is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. She has level II certification in CT angiography and she is certified in vascular ultrasound. Gidea joined Rush in 2008 from Michael Reese Hospital where she served as the director of nuclear cardiology and heart failure programs and assistant program director of cardiology fellowship program. She serves as leader in several committees of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr Gidea`s special research interests are in 3D imaging, cardiac imaging for cardiac dyssynchrony and optimization in heart failure, data integration of all cardiac imaging modalities.
Dr. Gidea received research grants from Michael Reese Research and Education Foundation and a joined a NIH grant with the Department of Mathematics at NEIU.
