Clinical Trial Title

Helical tomotherapy treatment of dominant intraprostatic lesions in patients with prostate carcinoma utilizing magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopic guidance



Clinical Trial Protocol Description

This study will utilize tomotherapy to increase radiation dose delivered to magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy targeted dominant intraprostatic lesions in patients with prostate adenocarcinoma.



Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are a patient with intermediate to high risk adenocarcinoma of the prostate requiring treatment to the whole pelvis and prostate
  • Are a patient with 1-2 dominant intraprostatic lesions as evidenced by MRI/MRS in one lobe of the prostate who are candidates for treatment with external beam radiotherapy
  • Are a patient who have no DILs,>2 DILs, or DILs in both lobes will be excluded from this study
