Mission: The mission of the Research Knowledge and Support Core (RKSC) is to provide the administrative infrastructure to assure excellence in ethical, innovative support for research conducted at Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) and throughout the Rush Translational Science Consortium (RTSC).

The goal of the RKSC is to develop and incorporate best practices in all areas of research administration. This goal will be realized through an effective, integrated, and sustainable program. To facilitate the sustainability of this integrative program, Rush has developed a web-based research portal, which provides a single virtual point of entry to obtain the array of concierge services that comprise the RKSC infrastructure. Through a combination of resources investment and reorganization, Rush has optimized access to information and content, enhancing the protection of study participants, assisting investigators to adhere to regulatory requirements, promoting ethical conduct and advancing public trust in research.
