Trupti Parikh, MSN, CPNP

Trupti Parikh, MSN, RN, CPNP, is a licensed advanced practice nurse with a focus in pediatric surgical nursing. Trupti received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2000) and her master’s degree in pediatric nursing (2003) from Rush University. She is certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Trupti’s work experience includes neonatal intensive care staff nursing, staff and patient education, and inpatient and outpatient clinical nursing.

While working in the Special Care Nursery, Trupti’s care and concern for infants and children requiring specialized surgical care developed into a profound interest in these patients. Collaborating with the Rush pediatric surgeons sustained and grew Trupti’s interest, and directed her professional career path. As the surgical nurse liaison, Trupti works in tandem with pediatric surgeons at Rush to provide pre- and postoperative care coordination, education, and follow up for pediatric surgical  patients. Trupti has a special interest in working with infants with gastrointestinal anomalies and abdominal wall defects.

Trupti’s role includes working closely with hospital staff to provide education and guidance for the care of pediatric surgery patients, support of patients and families, and communication between surgeons, staff, patients, and families. Trupti is respected by the surgeons she works with, her peers, and the families she supports as they call upon her kindness, interest, expertise and resourcefulness.
