Clinical Trial Title

A multicenter, randomized study of the efficacy and safety of an oral medication in subjects with gout



Clinical Trial Protocol Description

Our physicians are conducting a research study to see if an investigational drug can lower uric acid levels in the body (high uric acid can cause gout). If you have a history of gout or are currently experiencing gout symptoms, you may qualify to participate. As a study participant, you will receive all study-related care at no charge, including physical exams, laboratory services and study medication.



Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are 18 to 85 years years of age
  • Have a history or presence of gout
  • Do not have active peptic ulcer disease
  • Do not have rheumatoid arthritis which requires treatment
  • Do not have any MI or strokes
