Kent W. Christopherson II, PhD
Dr. Christopherson is an assistant professor of Medicine and Immunology/Microbiology in the Sections of Hematology and Stem Cell Transplantation at Rush University Medical Center. He obtained his Bachelors of Science in 1997 from Bradley University, Peoria, Ill. In 2001, he received his PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology with a minor in medical and molecular genetics from Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis. His postdoctoral training in experimental hematology/oncology and stem cell biology (2001-2003) was in the lab of Hal Broxmeyer, PhD, in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Walther Oncology Center, at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. During this time Dr. Christopherson was supported sequentially by a National Institutes of Health - National Research Service Awards (NRSA) Training Grant and a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Career Development Program Fellow Award. Dr. Christopherson currently leads translational research efforts for the Sections of Hematology and Stem Cell Transplantation at Rush University.
