About Gluten Free Living

Once you receive a diagnosis of celiac disease, you will have to avoid eating gluten, a protein which is found in wheat, rye, barley and possibly oats. While this is a bit of a challenge, Rush University’s Adult Celiac Disease Program is here to help you make the transition. 

As part of our program, we have a registered dietician, Sue Mikolaitis, RD, LD, CSND, who has been helping patients for the last 10 years adopt a gluten free lifestyle.  For more information about Sue and her services, please see our Nutrition Services page.
