Clinical Trial Title

Investigational study of an antiplatelet treatment for patients with NSTEMI or STEMI acute coronary syndromes



Clinical Trial Protocol Description

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of an experimental drug in stopping the formation of new blood clots in patients at risk of stroke or heart attack. Overall, 18,000 patients will be recruited for this study. At Rush University Medical Center, we expect to enroll approximately 10 patients.



Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible for this study if you:

  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Have non-ST or ST segment elevation ACS

You are not eligible for this study if you:

  • Have active bleeding
  • Have a low platelet count (thrombocytopenia)
  • Are on kidney dialysis
