Clinical Trial Protocol Description

The Section of Gastroenterology & Nutrition at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago maintains a tissue storage bank that allows us to collect small biopsies (tissue) samples from persons undergoing endoscopic procedures.  Such procedures may include colonoscopy, endoscopy and EGD. This tissue storage bank allows researchers to run experiments on tissue samples of both healthy individuals and those who are afflicted with gastrointestinal conditions to determine the cause of such disorders and develop more effective therapeutic treatments.



Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria

To participate in this study, you must:

  • Be over age 18
  • Be able to give consent
  • Be undergoing a clinically indicated (physician prescribed) endoscopic procedure
