Clinical Services at Rush Kari Ann Simpson, MSN, APRN, BC
Clinical Team

Simpson, Kari AnnKari Ann has worked at Rush University Medical Center since June 1999. She graduated with her bachelor’s of science in nursing from Marquette University in 1999 and graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a master’s of science in nursing in 2005. A board-certified family nurse practitioner, Kari Ann has spent her career taking care of patients who have neurological and neurosurgical ailments and their families. In addition to working at the Rush Epilepsy Center, Kari Ann lectures and provides guidance to staff nurses within the medical center regarding the care of patients who have seizures or epilepsy. She is also a guest lecturer at Rush University College of Nursing, where she educates future nurse practitioners on the care of patients with epilepsy and seizures. Kari Ann’s favorite aspect of her job is helping individuals who come into contact with the Rush Epilepsy Center to feel as comfortable, educated and respected as possible.
