A prospective study of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Project

The purpose of this study is to evaluate patients who are having lumbar laminectomy surgery and to determine by questionnaire and x-ray examination what, if any, changes take place in the spine after surgery.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

• Have been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and lumbar laminectomy surgery has been scheduled

You will be excluded from this study if you:

• Are under age 30
• Have an active spine infection, spine tumor or an inflammatory disease
• Are unwilling to complete the follow-up visits
