The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation offers a wheelchair clinic the third Thursday of every month. The clinic has a multidisciplinary team of specialists consisting of a wheelchair seating expert, physical therapist and physiatrist. Patients are evaluated for motorized wheelchairs, standard light-weight wheelchairs and motorized scooters. Patients are assessed for appropriate wheelchair cushions to prevent skin breakdown or sacral ulcers.

All forms and reports to referring physicians are completed as a courtesy to the patients at the completion of the clinic.
