How people make health care decisions to treat chronic health conditions
Participants in this project will be asked to take part in a 90-minute interview at Rush University Medical Center about their health care decisions in the past four years, to complete background questionnaires regarding their health and insurance coverage, and to complete a mailed questionnaire regarding potential health care scenarios. No drugs or treatment of any kind will be administered. Participant compensation includes a meal and parking at Rush University Medical Center, $25 for performing the interview, and $75 for completing and returning the mailed questionnaire.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

Are between the ages of 65 and 67

Are enrolled in Medicare

Have arthritis, hypertension, heart disease or diabetes

Are available to come to Rush University Medical Center for an interview lasting up to 90 minutes
