Planned Giving - Charitable Remainder Trust |

- Offering a high level of financial and estate planning flexibility, a Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) allows the charitable beneficiary (Rush University Medical Center in Chicago) to receive the remainder interest.
- The trust may be created to become effective during life or at death. In most instances, it is permissible to name more than one charitable beneficiary in a CRT.
- You transfer property under an irrevocable trust agreement that specifies how and for how long trust income and principal are to be distributed.
- When the trust terminates, remaining trust principal will be available to Rush for the purpose you designated upon creation of the original trust agreement.
