Clinical Trial Title

Study of an investigational device system for removing blood clots from the brains of subjects with blockage of blood flow to one of the arteries in the brain

Clinical Trial Protocol Description

Stroke most commonly occurs when there is a blockage of blood flow to one of the arteries in the brain. The blockage is often caused by a blood clot. This is called an ischemic stroke. The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of an experimental device system in the removal of blood clots in the brain. Currently, there are limited treatments for ischemic stroke. The knowledge gained from this study may be of benefit to the advancement of medical treatment for ischemic stroke.

  • Arrived at the hospital within 8 hours of stroke symptom onset

You will be excluded from this study if you have:

  • Rapidly improving signs of stroke at time of enrollment
