Clinical Trial Title

A study to compare the overall safety and tolerability of an investigational medication injected in the deltoid or gluteus muscle in subjects with schizophrenia



Clinical Trial Protocol Description

This study seeks to determine if the upper arm (deltoid muscle) is a safe and tolerable site for starting treatment with an experimental drug at one of 3 doses. Another purpose is to see if it is safe and tolerable for patients taking injections in the buttocks (gluteal muscle) to switch the injection site to the upper arm or to switch the injection site from the upper arm to the buttocks.



Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are a man or woman between the ages of 18 and 75
  • Have a primary diagnosis of schizophrenia
  • Have had no substance or alcohol abuse for three months prior to baseline
  • Are in stable physical health
