Rush Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, remains open to all members of the medical staff to admit and manage the care of their own patients. Even if you do not have admitting privileges at Rush University Medical Center, physicians at Rush will care for your patient and will communicate with you directly during and after your patient’s stay — and will return the patient to your care after hospital discharge. Admitting a patient to the service is as easy as making a phone call.
Physicians or their representative may call:
(312) 942-1000
any time, day or night, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We will collect basic demographic information on your patient and, soon thereafter, you will be contacted by a physician to discuss how to best get your patient the needed care.
During your patient’s stay, our physician liaison is available to keep you apprised of significant changes in the care of your patient. On the day of discharge, the physician liaison will fax a summary of your patient’s stay, including all the highlights, and a detailed discharge plan for the patient’s follow up with you.
