Clinical Trial Title

Sleep of married couples before and after treatment of the husband for obstructive sleep apnea

Clinical Trial Protocol Description

Is your snoring and/or gasping for breath at night bothering your wife’s sleep? The Sleep Disorders Research and Treatment Center is looking for husbands with noisy breathing and their wives to come in for a couples study in the sleep lab. The study requires three all-night sleep visits over two weeks. Qualified subjects will receive free testing and a small compensation of $100 for completing the study.

Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria

Couples may be eligible to participate in this study if:

  • After sleeping overnight in the sleep lab, the husband is diagnosed with sleep apnea (gasping at night)
  • The subject is married and is willing to share a bed with his wife if he is not already doing so
  • The couple is available for two all-night sleep visits over two weeks
  • The husband is willing to use a treatment device at night during those two weeks

This is a partial list of eligibility requirements. To learn more, call the contact number provided.
