Welcome to the Office of Research Integrity and Regulatory Affairs

The Office of Research Integrity and Regulatory Affairs (ORIRA) at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago promotes the highest ethical standards in achieving our institutional and research goals:

Research integrity rests on university culture and the judgment and conscience of the research community member. Our service orientation emphasizes education of the research community and focuses on problem solving. With our focus on education we actively:

  1. Train research personnel to comply with federal and state laws, regulations and institutional policies
  2. Monitor advancement through our Evaluation Quality Improvement Program (EQuIP) and other initiatives to assess adherence, compliance and progress.

We seek to strengthen public trust of our neighboring communities and foster commitment to conducting research in accord with the fundamental principles of respect for persons, beneficence and justice.

The broad-based institutional effort targets all faculty, staff and students and facilitates Rush’s cultural transformation into the 21st Century.

The Office of Research Integrity and Regulatory Affairs encourages the Rush Research Community to:
