Benefits of Membership
News & Views
All alumni receive our semi-annual magazine, News & Views. Through this publication, the Nurses Alumni Association is able to keep alumni informed of the activities and events of both the Association and the College of Nursing. Our graduates and their accomplishments are featured regularly and a donor list is included in the spring issue. News & Views is a wonderful way to stay in tune with your classmates and the College.
Homecoming
Each year, the College welcomes its graduates back to their alma mater for a very special reunion. Homecoming is filled with insightful presentations, tours of the Medical Center, and fun, informal get-togethers. In the evening enjoy dining, relaxing and reminiscing at the formal banquet held in downtown Chicago. What better way to get in touch with old friends and experience all the changes at the Medical Center.
Alumni Privileges in Rush’s Simulation Lab
The Rush University Simulation Laboratory (RUSL), established in 2002 thanks to a generous bequest from the estate of Mrs. Alverin M. Cornell, is a state-of-the-art simulation training center equipped with life-sized, computer controlled adult, child and baby patient simulators that enable all levels of healthcare providers to learn medical procedures in a highly realistic environment. RUSL also has skill trainers for airway and invasive line placement. But these simulators and trainers aren’t just for students — alumni are welcome to use the simulation laboratory. Special rates can be arranged for clinical refreshers in all primary and acute care specialties. Come alone or bring your team! Learn more at the RUSL Web site http://www.rushu.rush.edu/rusl/. To review available time slots or to schedule a tour, contact the Patient Simulation Technician at (312) 942-2576.
Pins
As a gift to graduating students, the Alumni Association is proud to provide nursing pins each year at convocation. The pins are a meaningful symbol and lasting reward for such an accomplishment. See more information and photos of the pins from each of the four colleges.
